How we work
Four promises, and we put them in writing
Plain terms, no asterisks, and nothing that quietly stops applying when it costs us money.
01
One number, not a range
Your estimate is a single firm price for the work described. Not a 'starting at', not a low end and a high end, and not three tiers designed to make the middle one look reasonable.
02
Answered day or night
Call at two in the morning and the call gets answered. We take your details and get straight back to you. Most shops in this area go to voicemail after five and you wait until Monday.
03
Four trades, one contractor
Plumbing, heating and cooling, electrical and gas, all in-house and all licensed. On a job that touches more than one trade, that is one company to call and one company to hold responsible.
04
One-year warranty, in writing
Our workmanship is warranted for a year and it is written on the paperwork, not just said at the kitchen table.
Why we say the pricing one out loud
It is common in this trade to arrive with a tablet and present three options — a basic one, a recommended one and a premium one — priced so the middle looks like the sensible choice. It is a sales technique, and customers in this area write about it publicly.
We do not work that way. You get one price for the work that needs doing. If there is a cheaper way to solve your problem we will tell you what it is, and if something genuinely cannot be known until we open a wall we say so before we start rather than after.
The same goes for the phone. We are not going to claim a person is sitting by it at three in the morning. What we will say is this: your call gets answered, your details get taken, and you get a call back. Compare that with voicemail until Monday.
